In mid-June, RF Code, a leader in active RFID tracking and environmental monitoring technology for data centers and healthcare, announced that Ed Healy has been appointed CEO of the Austin, TX-based vendor. Healy brings over 30 years of senior leadership experience in accelerating the growth of market leading technology companies. Most recently, Healy served as, and remains, the senior advisor to the chairman of MediaTek.
SCAN/DCR spoke with Healy shortly after he came on board. When asked how he came to RF Code, he told us, "Actually, RF Code approached me. I was already working in the Austin area, and they asked if I would be interested in learning more about the company. The first thing I did was look at RF Code's technologies, its customer base, and its team. This is a great group of people, and they have successfully established a solid base.
"The Board believes I can help take the company to the next level," he continued. "I will work on growing the company's revenue, improving its profitability, and increasing its geographic outreach, especially in Asia. I have well-developed business relationships in Taiwan from a previous position."
