This week I am attending AFCOM’s Data Center World trade show at the Mirage Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas. Yesterday was the first day of the event that included a product presentation session that was delivered by Chris Gaskins, RF Codes VP of Product Development and Engineering, a trade show/exhibit and an after hour party in our suite. I will talk about each below.
First, Chris delivered an outstanding presentation on “Adding Intelligence to DCIM” through the adoption and integration of RF Code’s real time asset management and wire free environmental functionality to a standing room only crowd. If you want to get a copy of his presentation, click here. In addition to solid line of audience questions, his presentation drove a significant amount of traffic to our booth during the afternoon. During our exhibition we had a large number of enterprise customers from all markets wanting to gain more information about tracking IT assets in their data centers as well as using that same infrastructure to capture critical environmental data through our wire-free sensors. In fact, I personally spoke with several customers that want to take advantage of our low cost pilot packs that also come with services to start gaining valuable information with respect to what, where and how their assets are doing in their data centers!
We ended the day with a RF Code cocktail party in my suite on the 26th floor of the Mirage. Chris, Craig Brady (RF Code Western Sales Director) and I hosted about 40 customers and partners. Although the event was scheduled to go until 9, we had a few stay to the end customers that made sure there were no leftover beverages in the ice bucket! In all sincerity, we truly appreciated the opportunity to spend some casual, yet quality time with our current customers as well as some future ones. Thanks to those that attended.
Day 2 kicked off this morning and once Chris delivered an outstanding presentation on best practices for wire-free sensors in a data center. While intended to be an agnostic presentation, the audience quickly put one and one together and realized RF Code absolutely has the best solution from a cost, roi and capability perspective. I am looking forward to a productive afternoon.
